American Motorcycle Museum

Together with buddy Lutz I paid a visit to the AMM, the American Motorcycle Museum in Raalte, Holland.
Lots of models from years gone by, and some new too.
Really liked the old racing models!

Limpe is a remarkable photographer. There's always an intense atmosphere in his pics.
About two weeks ago we al met at the "Amstel station" in Amsterdam to go to Peers wedding. Martin and I just arrived when it started to pour with rain. Limpe made these great pics.

Buddy Knukkel had nothing to do I think? So he made me this..... F*kin' awesome!!

So late 80's till mid 90's I was a sucker for superheroes! I've got thousends of comics and I think I've got all running series from Batman from 1987 until about 1996. ( DC, Batman, Shadow of the Bat, Adventures of Batman, Gotham city adventures, hell I don't know what more, but much more!).Next to this there was Action Figures! From Batman, Videogame heroes, Films,
TV series. Oh man, still got a lot of them in my soulful garage. Now, every sunday me and some buddys gather at Masto's home cinema for some film and yesterday we had "Kick ass", a superhero film. Man, I was thrilled, this is the best superhero film I've seen in a loooong time! The action is so absurd rough it's almost as if Tarantino had a good day. Eleven year old girl who kicks some drugdealers ass? Hell yeah!!

low budget/ no budget

While making some minor changes on the bike I thought it was fun to give my axed tank a little make over. With some leftover rattlecans, masking tape and almost no time I made this..
Wat do you need;
1- gastank
3-masking tape

I wanted to start with a gold base, but unfortunately the can was almost empty already.
The pic doesn't show how bad it looks. But it's just a base for the striping tape so.... never mind. It's meant as a joke anyway!

With the base on it you can go berserk with the masking tape.
No clue what I was doing!

I also mask the inside from the banners.

Then I use the red I once used for a rear wheel. After removing the white tape this is the result.
Mmmmm, not so bad. The blue tape is stil on, masking the gold.

Then I mask the red.
Now things are going to fast.
I spray the banners blue and do some shadow with the airbrush.
Clearcoat on it and before I have time to make a picture I've got to go to a party.
No time to dry the paint or do a test ride with my "new" KH fork.
But the result isn't that bad at all.
More later!!
